This is Random Dungeon!

It is a platformer game with a randomly generated map.

You are trapped inside this dangerous dungeon filled with arrow traps, spikes, and bloodthirst bats. You have to find the key to open the gate and reach the safety of the outside world!
Controls:
z = jump
x = punch and open trunks
z+x and arrow keys = offset the camera view to sneak peek the next room.

We just discussed your game on our podcast! Come check us out!

Hi Stephen and Jake!

Thank you some much for the review of Random Dungeon! I am really honored to be cited by you guys!

I created Random Dungeon as a hobby project with no intention to receive attention as you guys gave to me.

I am really happy to know that Random Dungeon caught your interest and you had fun playing it.
You guys, nail down the secrets of the game (collection of all coins disable spike traps and light of all torches disable arrow traps)!
I am so happy to know that you could extract from the gameplay what I was trying to communicate.

Thanks a lot!!

Regards!

Eduardo Szesz

P.S. You almost got my last name right, it is pronounced like the word "chess" in English ;)

this is great! the controls take a little getting used to, and i've had at least one map where i was walled off from making progress, but still really good

(oh also i've phased through blocks a few times, and just now i died and my tombstone just slid right off the map into the abyss)

Hi Elater!

Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the game! Did you manage to finish it?
Some tricks: To reach some parts of the map you have to use double jump. You can also jump from the top of the stairs, press up and z, you will feel some resistance to jump but it will go off the stairs.

The phase issues are due to the collision detection I chose to use... I'm thinking to address that in a future version of the game.

i haven't finished it yet, but to be fair, i'm not very good at video games B)
