Evangelion

is the Greek word (εὐαγγέλιον) that means "good news" or "a good message for a new era", and it is the inspiration behind this short stealth roguelike game.

Descend to level 12 to find the great Book and return with the truth! On your journey, find the message and broadcast it to the world! But do this stealthily! The enemy wants to stop the good news from reaching everyone!

Game Play

Dive into the shadows in this gripping, grid-based stealth roguelike. You are infiltrating a highly classified, neon-lit facility heavily protected by cameras, dogs, drones, and guards. Watch out for traps, sensor plates, and lasers. Find the message on each floor, hack the terminal to broadcast it to the world. Level 12 guards the great prize: The Great Book of the Truth. Take it and return to the surface to finish your mission.  

Controls

The keyboard is the main way to control the game:

[Arrow keys]: movement

[Shif+Arrow keys]: To pull stunned enemies to hide then on the shadows

[Space]: skip turns

[1-9:] Use itens

[Shift + 1-9]: Description of items in your inventory

[P]: Preach and pray, if you have enough faith ;)

[Escape]: Game menu

[H]: Help

[PgUp-PgDn] - Navigate the log

The mouse (left click) can be used to explore the level automatically. 

Development

I made this game in Python with Pygame. It was a long-cherished endeavour: to code a roguelike game. When my coding skills fell short, I used  AI to show me how to do it.
